Welcome to TGAP

The Tech Girls Advocacy Program (TGAP) is an advanced digital skills program that teaches girls basic digital literacy and further empowers girls to use technology to fight positively – to advocate for girls’ rights and make girls’ voices count. TGAP empowers girls to advocate for girls’ rights with focus on three thematic areas: ‘ Ending Child Marriage, Ending Gender-Based Violence, and Promoting Girls Education.

Teenage girls were trained in various digital skills, including Coding, Digital Art & Illustration, Creative Writing, Filmmaking, and Photography. And the girls were facilitated to develop various technology outputs which are all showcased on this website and used to mobilize girls to speak out for their rights.

This is a continued initiative from the previous training on girls’ rights as provided in the Child Rights Act, 2003. We believe that girls can stand up for their rights. And girls have key influencers (other people including their parents, guardians, siblings, teachers, traditional and religious leaders, government leaders, and development partners) who are out there backing them up.

STAND UP, GIRLS! WE RULE THE WORLD!
